A pear carrier for gift giving

The focus of this exercise was to provide visual cues that allow the audience to understand what was being carried and how to interact with the carrier instantly.

I recognized the challenge of developing appropriate joint actions and shapes that complement the form of pears. With the affordance of corrugated cardboard, the construction of a usable and desirable carrier requires abundant experimentation. Through this project, I learned the steps of understanding unique qualities of a material, and to generate ideas from crafting sketch models.
